Volunteering
Thornbury Community and Arts will take over the management with new enthusiasm. It will be a charity with professional guidance but with very few paid staff. The venue will be run for the community, but will also rely on community volunteers to help. The roles will be very varied, everything from administration jobs, ticket sales, housekeeping, to front of house. We know this can work as we have visited and studied other similar Theatres and Venues, a few of whom operate with only volunteers.
It is likely that you have the skills to help, possibly with training which will be provided. We will shortly send out a questionnaire aimed at anyone interested in helping. If you are interested in being involved with this incredible initiative, please fill out our volunteer form below.
Companies and groups may be able to help too.
We will need people to help before the opening and when the venue is operating.
Fundraising
Our main donor has got us off to a great start, and she will also match other donations. The Armstrong Hall Charitable Trust can pledge funds that were previously raised from the public for venue improvements. Other donors are also now coming forward and these amounts can also be doubled.
We are also using a professional fundraiser to reach trusts and other grant givers and corporate donors.
How can you help?
We’d welcome materials or services that local companies can offer. Please Contact Us.

We will be letting you know how individuals or groups can donate in the coming months, remembering that every donation will be doubled.
